Lynda Scott, Tamazon, M Breakfield, Sia McKye, Linda Banche & Harriet Klausner review THE LADY OF THE STORM
"Enter Ms. Kennedy’s lush, powerful and magical world for the second time in The Lady of the Storm...Ms. Kennedy is my go to author for fantasy romance and the The Elven Lord's series is a keeper!"
"THE LADY OF THE STORM is an enjoyable fantasy romance with plenty of adventure and complex and intriguing world building. Ms. Kennedy creates an awe-inspiring world, which draws the reader in and keeps the interest high throughout. Giles and Cecily make a wonderful couple, who must overcome, not only physical obstacles but emotional ones, in order to be together. At first, Giles doesn't consider himself, the son of a blacksmith, good enough for Cecily. The class distinction means little to Cecily, who must overcome her own insecurities. Just when it seems these two can, finally, be together, they are torn apart and must struggle to be together.
Filled with spectacular descriptions and imagery, THE LADY OF THE STORM makes a great read for the lover of fantasy romance, and I highly recommend it. The next book in this series can't come out soon enough!"

A WONDERFUL STORY FROM A REMARKABLE AUTHOR!
"Kathryne’s ability to take history as we know it and add a twist to create an alternate world is amazing...
Ah, a young woman scorned and a reluctant protector must overcome their hurts and work together with the rebellion to find Cecily’s adoptive father, capture Breden’s power scepter and destroy him. It becomes a tempestuous love story between two strong-minded people set against the backdrop of intrigue, magic, and incredible danger."
THE LADY OF THE STORM is a great read for those who love epic fantasy romance
Sia McKye's Reviews
"Ms. Kennedy has created another fascinating blend of history and magic in the elven kingdom of Dewhame. Merging magic and mores, she again captures Georgian sensibilities against the background of a world of magical wonders. And the magical water wonders are indeed wonderful and fit seamlessly into the story.
But The Lady of the Storm is also a study of heroism. Giles and Cecily, so human in their determination to seek their desires, achieve heroism and their yearned-for love when they finally accept the roles fate has thrust upon them.
Another fine effort from the master of historical magical romance."
"The latest Kathryne Kennedy Georgian romantic fantasy (see The Fire Lord’s Lover) is a fabulous tale that deftly provides an alternative historical England in which Elven Lords brutally rule. The story line is leisurely paced as the relationship between the lead couple evolves while they flee from a persistent lethal adversary. Sub-genre readers will enjoy a trek into the Kennedy realm."

Kathryne Kennedy’s bestselling book series adds new dimension to paranormal romances.
Naperville, IL (PRWEB) August 16, 2011
The subgenre of historical fantasy has taken the romance novel industry by storm, and that is nowhere more apparent than in Kathryne Kennedy’s new series, The Elven Lords. With heroes inspired by the elves of Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings, we can add pointed ears to the rising popularity of romance novel heroes sporting wings, fangs, and other paranormal elements.
“The devotion of my readers is remarkable,” says Kennedy. “My heroes and world seem to capture their imaginations and hearts.”
In Kennedy’s new release The Lady of the Storm (Sourcebooks Casablanca; ISBN 9781402236532; $7.99; August 2011) readers will lose themselves in a gorgeous love story set in a lush world made of equal parts wonder and danger in a kingdom viciously ruled by warlike elven lords. Village blacksmith Giles Beaumont reluctantly swears to protect the half-elf, half-human Cecily Sutton, never dreaming that he will fall under her enchanting spell. But when Cecily's father disappears, Cecily and Giles set out to find him, and as their journey unfolds, duty is quickly replaced by desire--and the search for Cecily's father leads to a magical destiny that could end the rule of the elven lords forever.
The Lady of the Storm has already received critical acclaim. Booklist gave it a starred review and said “Kennedy's exquisite world building and terrific plotting make this a must-read for fantasy fans as well as readers who like sizzling romance.” Publishers Weekly said “Fantastical creatures, magical spells, lengthy quests, angst, and passion will satisfy readers looking for a romance plot in a well-developed fantasy setting.”
Although it is a stand-alone title, The Lady of the Storm follows the first book in The Elven Lords series, The Fire Lord’s Lover, which hit several bestsellers’ lists and has garnered awards and critical acclaim. The next novel in the series, The Lord of Illusion, is scheduled for release February 2012.

Paranormal Romance published by Sourcebooks Casablanca 1 Aug 11
"Kathryne Kennedy is one of those authors whose books I anxiously await to hit the shelves. She builds the most exciting, unusual, and alluring worlds for her stories. Her characters also exude the same qualities, and then some, with such emotional pull surrounding them, all because of their circumstances and, ultimately, their unconditional measure to love. She weaves a spell around her readers just as her characters cast their spells of magic in and around a London that will surprise you at every turn....
Have you read any of Kathryne Kennedy’s books? If not, you need to. Get lost in her magical, spell-binding worlds, meet characters you’d truly like to know, and triumph with them, just as romance readers have come to expect, when love wins the day against the wrongs of the worst evils for the betterment of mankind. Then you, too, will come back to her stories again and again."
"A mesmerizing tale sprinkled with whimsy, peril, and love."

"Kathryne Kennedy crafts a glittering historical romance greatly enriching it with a splash of fantasy. Her imagination knows no bounds as she weaves a spectacular tale where England has been conquered by seven elven lords. She sweeps her readers along for the journey with her vivid descriptions from lush, fertile fields to desolate, barren wastelands depending on which lord rules sovereign. Cecily and Giles have a peril filled mission ahead of them, but the main danger seems to be whether or not they can keep their hands off of each other. I was completely addicted from the first page, and as the story wore on I knew that only finishing it would satisfy my craving. THE LADY OF THE STORM casts a magical spell, conjures a passionate romance, and beckons to be enjoyed over and over again. Ms. Kennedy brings a spark to the fantasy genre, and I look forward to the next pursuit in bringing down the elven lords."

Storm lord’s daughter Cecily Sutton’s powers over sea and sky have put her life at risk. Giles Beaumont is reluctant to protect her, until he falls under her enchanting spell...
"The Lady of the Storm is a book worth spending the time with. I was first introduced to this alternate and fantastical England with The Fire Lord’s Lover. The world building astounded me then and I couldn’t imagine how much more could be added; it was already so rich. Ms. Kennedy had it covered. In this latest adventure, the author introduced me to a new quest, new characters, and new obstacles for the hero and heroine to overcome. I can also assure readers that this is a terrific stand alone read.
The Lady of the Storm is another whirlwind ride into the magical chaos that is England – a world that is fascinating as well as dangerous. Thanks to the stellar writing talents of Ms. Kennedy, I have a new series that will be an auto-buy for me. As real as the story seems when I’m in the midst of it, I am so glad no fire demons will actually jump out at me. However, I wouldn’t mind a Giles of my own, without that spooky sword of his, that is. Thank you, Ms. Kennedy, for a wild reading experience and for introducing me to a heroine and hero I enjoyed getting to know."
